Not your grandma’s cuckoo clock. A collaboration between clock-maker Lemnos and the Japanese design studio Nendo, this minimalist cuckoo clock features a two-piece design that doubles as a bookend. Place it on a tabletop or keep it on a shelf by your To-Read list– the little cuckoo bird marks the hour with a gentle chirp. Nendo is a Japanese design firm founded in 2002 by Oki Sato. Recognized worldwide for its simple and minimalist Japanese-Scandanavian aesthetics, Nendo works with numerous international brands. Its name is a play on the Japanese for “playdoh” or clay, and takes after the shape-shifting nature of the toy.
